Skip Tracing

Skip TracingSkip Tracing is a term used to describe the process of locating a person's whereabouts for any number of purposes. The term originates from the slang use of the word "skip" used to describe a person being searched for, combined with the expression "to skip town," meaning to depart, perhaps in a rush, leaving minimal clues behind for someone to "trace" the "skip" to a new location.

Today the term “locate” is used more generically to mean finding a missing person, regardless of whether they evading repayment of a debt or not.

Our techniques and methodologies are used to locate people for individuals, corporate America, the legal community, and commercial sectors.

Our unique combination of experience, attention to detail, and data gathering resources gives Huntting Investigative Services a very high success rate when retained by our clients to locate that "difficult to find individual."

Our promise to our clients is to provide the highest quality subject-tracing results. Please call us with any questions concerning your locate needs.

Our investigators adhere to strict internal guidelines and are conscious not to violate local, state or federal laws. <top>

Missing Person

Missing PersonThe missing person search seeks to locate parties who may or may not want to be found. The missing person search is used to find long-lost friends, lovers, and relatives. Locate searches are also used in cases of adoption, as you may need to find your birth parents to learn of your medical history, or you may be a biological parent (birth mother, birth father) looking for children given up at birth for adoption.

We will not handle any case when our client has had any court restrictions prohibiting them from contacting these persons, such as a court issued restraining order. <top>

Asset Searches

Asset SearchesWe use resources and databases that are not available to the public to check the subject’s public records for real property, stocks, bankruptcies, judgments, liens, and personal property, vehicles, and vessels.

This information is often helpful creating a financial profile of an individual or business. Information discovered in an asset search can be useful in matters involving litigation and in general business law.

There are several levels of the asset search, from a basic search of public records to extremely thorough "deep" asset investigations, which can reveal hidden assets such as offshore accounts.

Our investigators adhere to strict internal guidelines and are conscious not to violate local, state or federal laws. <top>

Asset Searches – Personal

In personal matters, asset searches are used when divorce is imminent or in process. There are other times when one needs to know about the assets of another party, such as in prenuptial (premarital) situations, where they are used to confirm that a potential spouse has the financial means that they claim to have. Asset searches are also useful in estate and probate matters where the assets of the deceased are not fully determined. <top>

Asset Searches – Business

In business matters, asset searches are used to determine the financial worthiness of a potential partner, also known as due diligence investigations. In matters where there is a potential for legal action, they can be used to determine the ability of a party to pay if the lawsuit is successful. In instances where one party owes money to the other, they are used to collect a debt or judgment. This includes the collection of small claims judgments. In some cases an individual may have declared bankruptcy, yet there is a possibility that assets may have been sequestered. <top>
