Locate Hiers
Locating missing persons is a common request of legal professionals who often need to find parties involved in litigation.
Missing person locates can vary in the degree of difficulty. Investigators sometimes have little more to start with than a name. When the last name is common such as Smith or Jones and the first name is equally as common, the search becomes more difficult but not impossible.
Many other factors can determine complexity of a missing person locate such as; how long has the subject been missing? Has it been five hours, five days or five decades? The longer the subject has been gone the more difficult the search. Does the subject know people are searching for them? Often times in probate and adoption cases the subject may not know they are “missing”.
And lastly, is the subject being intentionally evasive due to fear, criminal behavior or paranoia? All these factors can determine the outcome of the search. Additional identifying information to aid in the location of the subject is always very valuable. Having birthdates, Social Security numbers, full addresses and names of friends or relatives are all valuable leads to follow.
In the event of a person has disappeared recently requires a different set of strategies. In these cases, searching electronic resources simultaneously with "hitting the streets" as quickly as possible is invariably the most effective way to find the missing person.
